I am Sharon, the face behind ATP Textures and also ATP Photography!
I have always had a deep need to be creative. It soothes my soul and I always love to learn, grow and be surrounded by beauty!
The first half of my life was spent singing. ALOT! Lol. Yes, I am a trained opera singer! I even have a degree in it. BUT after working so hard on something so elite and precise, ( years of practice and study ) I found I was losing my drive and ambition. Especially when that meant I had to travel. Unlike 90% of the world, I am a home body at heart and love my life in the Adelaide Hills.
So what to do to stop the boredom creeping in and driving me crazy? Especially after spending hours a day practicing and performing.
Photography and graphic design.
I LOVE photography. The creativity, the art and I love that I can do it close home.
Soon I was exploring the editing side of photography, and there my endeavors bloomed. Photography became the sideline to my textures! And for the past 6 years I have been selling digital assets to other photographers. It has been a wonderful outlet to grow, develop my skills and make friends from all over the world.
As a graphic designer ( self taught ) and as a photographer, I have developed my own style of editing which is soft yet vibrant and rich with colour. I have the skill to create beautiful fine art images that you will treasure for years to come.
In 2020 members of our family bought Hazelmere Park. This beautiful property has been through many changes over it's years, and after huge renovations and hard work, it is going to host weddings again!
16 Years after I started my journey into photography, I have been given the amazing opportunity to be the exclusive photographer for Hazelmere Weddings!
Now I am ready to take up the camera again and create special memories for, you, through my lens!
I am passionate about creating a story that belongs to you. And I adore weddings. All the details, the dress, the flowers. I am in heaven! I can't wait to meet you and be a part of your very own special day at Hazelmere Park!
